Leg Falsies?
Well this is product that I’d never thought would exist: calf implants for wearers of lederhosen or kilts.
“Apparently kilt wearers and lederhosen wearers both worry about how their legs will look in the traditional gear, and padding allows a whole new bunch of people to embrace the clothing of their ancestors without embarrassing remarks like ‘squirrel legs’ and ‘stick insect’.

Loft Bed is getting closer to being finished
The loft bed for son #2 is getting closer to completion. The sanding has been completed and orange shellac has been choosen for the finish. To help make the finishing go quicker, I’m using a small (3”) roller to get the shellac to the wood and then brushing it out. It’s much easier to get good even coverage over the whole 3’ and 6’ lengths without overlap marks with this method.

Mmmmm, Ice Cream!
Graeter's Ice Cream just opened their newest store within walking distance of the house. I absolutely love their Turtle Sundae. They mix caramel and hot fudge together and add in pecans to the mix before pouring it all over the ice cream flavor of your choice. Absolutely the best Turtle Sundae around.
To top it all off, City Barbeque was serving beef brisket and pork barbeques outside on the patio of their soon to be completed restaurant. Both types of meat had been cooked for many hours and had a wonderful taste and feel. I think that we'll have to go back when the whole restaurant is open and try out the rest of the menu. Since they share the same building with Graeter's, I wonder if we'll be able to order Graeter's desserts as part of our City Barbeque dinner?

Online Optical Illusions
This site has some absolutely wonderful optical illusions to view. I’m particulary taken by the rotating snakes.

Oh Dear, OpenOffice.org Doesn't Have Enough Bugs!
This report is so sad:
This week Microsoft Office once again affirmed its leadership in the office software world by releasing news of not one, two, or three, but five security holes. Meanwhile, OpenOffice.org, the primary open source competitor to MS Office, has no vulnerabilities to report. And OpenOffice developers say they have no plans to introduce Microsoft-competitive vulnerabilities, even though most PC users obviously consider insecurity a vital part of the computing experience.

From the "you thought they'd check first file"
Microsoft contracted with Akamai to help weather a DDoS attack. While they did choose a leader in the content distribution technology, they forgot to look at what kind of servers were in use at Akamai: 15,000 Linux servers.

HomeAssassin from the developers of SpamAssassin. Now if they can adapt it into a CubeAssassin product to keep those pesky users away from my desk…

Ties can make you go blind!
As I had suspected all along: ties are bad for you.
Researchers have found out that wearing a tie can raise glaucoma risk
All the more reason to work in an environment where ties are not required or expected :-)
